Out of Iraq Town Meeting on Manhattan Neighborhood Network

Submitted by Jim McCabe on 2008, May 27 - 3:09pm.

Our Out of Iraq Town Meeting will appear in three segments on Manhattan Neighborhood Network; Channel 24 for Time Warner; Channel 82 for RCN.

Below is a description of the various segments from the producer, Joe Friendly. Below that is a description of this moving and inspiring evening. It’s a must see!

Already, we have heard that Congressman Carolyn Maloney who attended the meeting, will support a bill introduced by Jose Serrano for help veterans who have been exposed to depleted uranium because of what she learned in the moving presentation of Iraq War Vet Daniel Black. Spread the word!

Airing dates as follows:

First Panel, with Evan Giller, Daniel Black, Dahlia Wasfi, Michael Schwartz, and Congr. Carolyn Maloney is Part One Tuesday, May 27 at 9:30 to 10:28 AM on Manhattan Cable Channel 34 Time Warner, ---Channel 82 for RCN subscribers---MNN as in Manhattan Neighborhood Network---

The Q and A is presented on the next day as a Part 2, Wednesday, May 28, also at 9:30 AM on Channels 34 Time Warner/Channel 82 RCN.

The concluding part with Alice Slater, Barbara Harris, Jim McCabe is on a Friday 4:30 PM half hour slot, a Humanist program called Here and Now, also on Channel 34, that's May 30th. With that piece of the event only being about 18 minutes, I then filled in the balance of the time with more Dahlia that I found on the internet from her website: www.liberatethis.com.

For those with internet access the program will also stream Tuesday and Wednesday mornings at 9:30 AM at http://www.mnn.org/
and then selecting on air viewing of the program on channel 34, whatever it calls it, until about 10:30 AM. Similarly the Friday 4:30 PM cablecasting will stream simultaneously at http://www.mnn.org/ and selecting Channel 34, whatever it calls the program.

The official name of the 9:30 show is Truth For a Change, but the MNN website may mistakenly list the hour to a program called Conversations, because of a computer error that has not yet been corrected, The 4:30 show is officially Here and Now but the computer listing is anyone's guess.
