Hello 24th District Progressives.

So far I have heard from 13 people across Boehlert's district who'd like to get involved in orgnizing within the district. Thanks for stepping up! This is a fine start - we can build from here.

I've contacted Boehlert's office about setting up a meeting with us. It turns out he won't be available until February 20-28. To get a meeting we need to send a letter requesting one, outlining our purpose and who will be attending. I can do this as soon as we get a couple more ducks in a row.

In December the national PDA folks were asking us to focus any January meetings with our representatives on discussing Iraq exit strategy. I will be in touch with them to see if that is still true. In any case, we certainly are free to set our own agenda for the meeting.

I am hoping that between now and late Feb we can work together by email to introduce ourselves to one another, develop an agenda and plan for a meeting with Boehlert, and identify other ways we might move ahead in building a progressive base in the 24th District.
